Add Asset

Adding an Asset can be broken down into five major steps:

1. Create New Asset
2. Fill in General Information
3. Add Asset Source (Optional)
4. Add Asset Attribute (Optional)
5. Add Asset Location (Optional)

Note: Mandatory fields are marked with an ‘*’. The following steps assume that the user is already logged in to the CMS.

Create New Asset

Steps to create a new Asset

1. Go to the Asset tab.
2. Select ADD NEW. Go to Fill in General Information.

Fill in General Information

Fill in Asset's general information

1. Fill in the necessary fields (Name, Description, Site).
2. Select "Class".
   • You can add zero, one, or more classes.
   • Note that asset will inherit measurements of the classes added.
3. Select "Access Group".
   • To add a new access group, see Add Access Group.
   • If you are not an Administrator, "Access Group" is a compulsory field.
4. Add "Icon".
   • To add a user-defined icon, see Add Icon.
5. Select whether asset is virtual or not.
6. Select "NEXT". Go to Optional Steps.
7. Select "SUBMIT" (top right corner) to add the Asset.

Optional Steps

1. Go to Add Asset Source and select "NEXT".
2. Go to Add Asset Attribute and select "NEXT".
3. Go to Add Asset Relationship and select "NEXT".
4. Go to Add Asset Location and select "NEXT".
5. Go to Add Asset Annotation.

Note:

• For Lift assets, a lift lobby is mandatory.
• For all other assets, if they do not have a location, they will not show up on the Digital Twin and their Expressions/Events/Alarms will not be triggered.
