Add Site with User Drawn Model

Adding a Site using a User Drawn Model can be broken down into six major steps:

  1. Create New Site
  2. Fill in General Information
  3. Choose Model Type
  4. Fill in BBL information
  5. Add Footprint
  6. Set Default View and Thumbnail
Note: Mandatory fields are marked with an ‘*’. The following steps assume that the user is already logged in to the CMS.

Create New Site

Steps to create a new Site
  1. Go to the Site icon.pngSite tab.
  2. Select Add.pngADD NEW. Go to Fill in General Information.

  1. Fill in the necessary fields (E.g. Site Name, Description, Country, Address etc.).
  2. Add Geolocation (optional):
    1. Select Geolocation.
    2. There are two ways to select location:
      • Search:
      1. Use the Search.pngSearch function to look for the specific location.
      • Drop Pin:
      1. Drag the map to the required location.
      2. Select "EDIT".
      3. Drop pin at the site location on the map.
      • See Tip and Note (below).
    3. Select 'OK' to add geolocation. This will automatically update the country of the site but not its address.
  3. Select "NEXT". Go to Choose Model Type.
Tip: Subsequently, the pin can be dragged to different positions on the map.
Note: For subsequent changes, the displayed address will not be automatically updated. The Use address.pngUse Address button must be selected to update the address.

Choose User Drawn Model Type
  1. Choose "User Drawn" model type.
  2. Go to Fill in Building, Block & Level (BBL) information.

Steps to add Building, Block & Level (BBL) to Site
  1. Add Building (Optional).
    1. Select Add Inside.pngAdd beside Site Name.
    2. Insert Building Name.
    3. Select 'SAVE'.
  2. Rename Building (Optional).
    1. Select Edit inside.pngEdit beside Building Name.
    2. Rename Building.
    3. Select 'SAVE'.
  3. Add Block (Optional).
    1. Select Add Inside.pngAdd beside Building Name.
    2. Insert Block Name and Ground Floor Position.
    3. Select 'SAVE'.
  4. Edit Block (Optional).
    1. Select Edit inside.pngEdit beside Block Name.
    2. Rename Block and/or change ground floor position.
    3. Select 'SAVE'.
  5. Add Level.
    • Add Individual Level:
    1. Select Add Inside.pngAdd beside Block Name.
    2. Choose the level type:
      • Level Below Ground: Basement Level
      • Level Above Ground
    3. Add Level Name.
    4. Add Level Height.
    5. Select 'SAVE'.
    • Add Multiple Levels:
    1. Select Add Inside.pngAdd beside Block Name to add new levels under that block.
    2. Choose the level type:
      • Level Below Ground: Basement Level
      • Level Above Ground
    3. Add desired number of levels (greater than 1).
    4. Leave Level Name blank (rename after added).
    5. Add Level Height (all levels will use the same height).
    6. Select 'SAVE'.
  6. Edit Level (Optional).
    1. Select Edit inside.pngEdit beside Level Name.
    2. Rename Level and/or change its height.
    3. Select 'SAVE'.
  7. Select "NEXT". Go to Add Footprint.

Steps to add Site's footprint
  1. Navigate to the building location on the map either by Search map.pngsearching or dragging the map.
  2. Select "EDIT" beside Block Name to enter edit mode.
  3. Trace the block’s outline by selecting points on the map.
  4. Select "EDITING" beside Block Name to exit edit mode.
  5. Select "SUBMIT" (top right corner) to add the Site.
  6. Once the 3D model has been processed, further action will be prompted.

  7. Go to Set Default View and Thumbnail.
Tip:
  • A node can be repositioned by selecting it and dragging it to a different position.
  • "GO TO LATITUDE AND LONGTITUDE LOCATION" can be used to reposition the map to the location of the site's footprint.

Steps to add Site's default view and thumbnail
  1. Select Edit.pngEdit beside the site you just created.
  2. Select the Warning set default.pngwarning at the top of the screen.
  3. Set the site’s default view.
  4. Set the site’s thumbnail (optional).
  5. Add 2D Floorplans for each level (optional).
  6. Select "SAVE" or "SAVE & EXIT" (top right corner).
