Assign Objects

This section covers the following topics:

Assign Objects

  1. Select Next.pngNext beside Building Name to assign objects to levels in that building.
  2. Select Next.pngNext beside Block Name to assign objects to levels in that block.
  3. Select Next.pngNext beside Level Name to assign objects to that level.
  4. Select at least one object on the 3D model.
    • See Tip.
  5. Select ASSIGN SELECTED under the Object Assignment panel.
  6. Select SAVE or SAVE & EXIT.
Tip:
  • Select multiple objects by holding shift on your keyboard or using the Select.pngSelect tool.
  • See Object Visibility Tools on how to hide/unhide objects.

View Assigned Objects

  1. Select Next.pngNext beside Building Name to view objects assigned to levels in that building.
  2. Select Next.pngNext beside Block Name to view objects assigned to levels in that block.
  3. Select Next.pngNext beside Level Name to view objects assigned to that level.
  4. Select HIGHLIGHT ASSIGNED under the Object Assignment panel.

Remove Assigned Objects

  1. Select Next.pngNext beside Building Name to unassign objects associated with levels in that building.
  2. Select Next.pngNext beside Block Name to unassign objects associated with levels in that block.
  3. Select Next.pngNext beside Level Name to unassign objects associated with that level.
  4. Remove all or some assigned objects.
    • Remove all assigned objects:
    1. Select CLEAR ASSIGNED under the Object Assignment panel.
    • Remove some assigned objects:
    1. Select at least one object on the 3D model.
      • See Tip.
    2. Select UNASSIGN SELECTED under the Object Assignment panel.
  5. Select SAVE or SAVE & EXIT.
Tip:
  • Select multiple objects by holding shift on your keyboard or using the Select.pngSelect tool.
  • See Object Visibility Tools on how to hide/unhide objects.

Set Level Extent

  1. Select Next.pngNext beside Building Name to set extent of levels in that building.
  2. Select Next.pngNext beside Block Name to set extent of levels in that block.
  3. Select Next.pngNext beside Level Name to set extent of that level.
  4. Set Floor and Ceiling Position either based on what has been selected or assigned:
    • Update from Selected:
    1. Select at least one tile on the 3D model.
      • See Tip.
    2. Select Update from Selected under Floor/Ceiling Position in the Level Extent panel.
    • Update from Assigned:
    1. Assign Objects to level.
    2. Select Update from Assigned under Floor/Ceiling Position in the Level Extent panel.
  5. Select SAVE or SAVE & EXIT.

Object Visibility

Object Visibility Panel
  1. Hide or Show groups of objects by clicking HIDE and UNHIDE in the Object Visibility panel respectively.
    • Outside Level of Extent: Affects objects positioned above the Ceiling Position and below the Floor Position of the level.
    • Above Level of Extent: Affects objects positioned above the Ceiling Position of the level.
    • Below Level of Extent: Affects objects positioned below the Floor Position of the level.
    • Assigned to Level: Affects objects assigned to the level.
    • Not assigned to Level: Affects objects not assigned to the level.
    • Unassigned: Affects objects that are not assigned to any level.
    • All: Affects all objects in the model.
Note:
  • Hiding and showing groups of objects is cumulative.
  • Hiding and showing groups of objects is carried over when a new level is being selected.

Manage Buildings, Blocks & Levels

Add

  1. Select Add building.pngAdd Building, Add block.pngAdd Block, Add level.pngAdd Level to add building, block, level respectively.

Rename

  1. Select the Building/Block/Level Name.
  2. Rename the building/block/level.
  3. Select SAVE.

Delete

  1. Select Delete.pngDelete beside the Building/Block/Level Name to be deleted.
  2. Select OK on the confirmation pop-up.
